Kyocera's Hybrid Platform for Applications Solutions (HyPAS) expands the functionality of the 500ci series MFPs,
allowing integration with Microsoft Active Directory (user authentication and restrictions), Microsoft SharePoint (collaboration),
and your e-mail system (in conjunction with Active Directory, users who login are able to scan a document directly to their e-mail address).
Following are the HyPAS applications which can be installed and personalized to your company's document imaging requirements:

Access Lock - used to regulate access to the MFP and its features. It integrates with your network, requiring all users to login
with thier standard network user account credentials. Different user groups can be granted access to the different features of the MFP,
providing central control of which users can perform which functions of the MFP. Options include: typing in the username/password
on the operation panel touchscreen, swiping a prox card, swiping a prox card PLUS typing in a PIN, and a public access option.
The public login option requires no logon but allows only limited use of the MFP (generally, black and white copies only).

Color Lock - provides a simple method to control access to making color copies. To make a color copy, a user must login using
a pre-defined PIN. Public access is allowed, limited to making black and white copies only. NOTE: Only one of the two, Access Lock
or Color Lock, can be installed on an MFP at one time.

2MyInbox - working with Access Lock, this is used when a user scans a document to their e-mail account.
After login with Access Lock, the program will automatically populate the destination e-mail address
with the address of the current logged in user.

PanelPlus - provides a quick and easy way for users to scan. It allows users to store required information
(destination and scan function) ahead of time as customized workflows. Used to create a one-touch button
that is pre-programmed with one or more destinations and one or more scan functions (send to e-mail, send to folder (SMB),
and send to FTP server).

PaperTrail - monitors print, copy, scan, and fax activity on printers and MFPs. It enables a company to gather usage data
from the device to control costs and minimize waste. PaperTrail can restrict the usage of any MFP activity (copy/print/scan/fax).
It can also restrict the use of color, reducing the costs associated with color prints. PaperTrail also features secure printing.

SharePoint Connector - allows users to walk up to a Copystar MFP and access documents on the SharePoint server using
the touch panel. Users can browse through the SharePoint document libraries and sites. It also enables scanning to a SharePoint
document library and printing from a document library.

DMS Link - a software connector between Copystar MFPs and various Document Management Systems (DMS). It allows
users to scan documents and enter associated information (metadata) at the operation panel of the MFP and deliver the images
and data to a folder in a format that is compatible with the DMS.

MyForms - an on-demand printing application unique to Copystar MFPs. It uses two key Kyocera technologies:
Prescribe and HyPAS to make the MFP serve as a forms-printing kiosk.

Capture2Go - this application will scan documents from the document feeder and store them on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.
Those documents can now be read on your device. Users can print copies on any Copystar printer on the network, e-mail the scanned
documents, scan photos from the copier glass directly to their photo library, and easily discover and access any Copystar MFP on the network.
